Features
Atmotube PRO is the ultimate portable air quality monitor.
- REAL-TIME AIR QUALITY TRACKER - constantly monitors the environment around you, accurately measuring a wide range of PM, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) like acetone, methanol, formaldehyde, and harmful gases.
- PM SENSORS detects PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 pollutants, such as dust, pollen, soot, and mold spores.
- PORTABLE & WEARABLE: most compact air quality tracker which securely hooks on a bag or belt, with up to 7 days battery life so you can take it anywhere and test air pollution in or outside your home.
- MULTI-PURPOSE: Atmotube Pro air quality tester also includes a weather station with atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity sensors for use indoors or outdoors.
- MOBILE APP: User-friendly interface shows air quality readings, helps to track measurements history and personal air score. If the air quality gets below a certain point, you will immediately receive an alert.

PRODUCT FEATURES
How does Atmotube Pro work?
Atmotube constantly monitors air pollution in real-time. We utilize a MOX-based (Metal-oxide) sensor in our product. The functionality of a MOX gas sensor is based on the conductivity-change of the gas-sensitive MOX semi-conductor layers at gas exposure, which can be externally measured and analyzed. A specific MOX gas-sensitive layer reacts to oxidizable gases with increasing of the layer resistance and to reducible gases with decreasing of the layer resistance. We also use PM sensors that detect PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 pollutants, such as dust, pollen, soot, and mold spores.
How often does Atmotube Pro measure the air?
Atmotube PLUS take VOC measurements every 2 seconds and store it to the memory every 1 minute.
Is it different from Atmotube Plus?
Yes, Atmotube PRO detects PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 pollutants, like dust, pollen, soot, and mold, plus a wide range of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). It has a variety of cutting-edge sensors (ex. PM 1/2.5/10 and VOC sensors) for the instant detection of harmful gases and particles.
Why should I use Atmotube?
People don’t realize how what’s in the air might affect our health. But there are potential dangers -- carbon monoxide for instance. Carbon monoxide poisoning can happen when you breathe in even small amounts of the gas, causing terrible headaches and dizziness. And there are also volatile organic compounds, such as formaldehyde and benzene. Over time, exposure to carbon monoxide and volatile organic compounds has been linked to an increased risk of heart disease, stroke, liver and brain damage, and even cancer. Most people don't find out they've been exposed to toxic air until it's too late, so we decided to create a beautiful and functional object that can seamlessly become part of your life, alerting you to potential danger in the air.
How portable is it? How much does it weigh?
Atmotube only weighs 6.4 ounces, so it’s perfectly portable, even pocketable. It has a half-ring to let you to clip it anywhere, on any bag or even a key ring.
Do I need to download the app to use Atmotube?
Yes, Atmotube sends all measured data to your mobile phone via Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) protocol. You should download our free Atmotube app from Google Play or App Store.
Will Atmotube work with any Smartphone?
Atmotube is compatible with iOS 8+ devices and Android 4.3+ devices with Bluetooth Low Energy support.
Is the Atmotube mobile app free?
Absolutely!
Will I receive any alerts if the air quality is poor?
Yes, You will get immediate notification if Atmotube detects air quality lower than the “Moderate” level. This notification is customizable via settings.
What is Air Quality Score?
Atmotube detects a very wide range of harmful gases, toxins, and volatile organic compounds. For your convenience, we created an accumulative parameter called Air Quality Score (AQS) that can instantly give you an understanding of the quality of air around.
There’s a LED on the front of Atmotube. What does each color mean?
The LED color represents the current Air Quality Score. (Red - severely polluted, Orange - very polluted, Yellow - polluted, Green - moderate, Blue - good).
Blue blinking without button pressed - means that Atmotube is in pairing mode.
TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
Is Atmotube waterproof?
Atmotube design is meant to provide good airflow for the sensors inside, so it can’t be waterproof at the same time. Please do not put it in water.
What is the operating temperature of Atmotube?
Recommended operating temperature for Atmotube sensors is from -5°C to +50°C. The device will still work if the temperature drops below -5°C, but the performance of the VOC and CO sensors will slightly drop.
How does the Air Quality Score Map work?
Your GPS coordinates will be linked with your AQS measurements, periodically uploaded to our secure cloud, and then will be aggregated on the air quality map. The map is available for public viewing. AQS sharing is disabled by default and you should manually enable it.
Who can see my Air Quality Score data?
Only you can view your AQS history data. But you can share it on the map to make your contribution into the global air quality map.
What are the VOCs?
Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids. In fact, they may be emitted by a wide array of products, including paints and lacquers, paint strippers, cleaning supplies, household products such as varnishes and wax, cleaning and disinfecting, products, building materials (plywood and particleboard) and furnishings, office equipment such as copiers and printers, glues and adhesives.
VOCs can cause eye, nose, and throat irritation as well as headaches, loss of coordination, and nausea. They may also cause damage to the liver, kidney, and central nervous system. Some are suspected or known to cause cancer.
